In the early days Zaociao relies on charcoal for living, thus Zaociao Township has Taiwan's first Charcoal Museum. Services such as charcoal SPA and lodging are offered, and "Innovative Charcoal Food" is provided, adding charcoal in everything from noodles to coffee. Many specialty products are also developed, like charcoal underwear.
